THE YATRA

The leader is on the move..... AGAIN....... and rightly so. We are really happy to note that sri Advaniji is embarking on an yatra to cris-cross the country, meet the grassroot workers of the party, interact with them and analyze the party's prospects and future.

While this yatra is supposedly a purely intra-party affair with no public meetings, I still feel that we the net members and participants of forum should also be treated like party members.

I suggest the moderator to start a new and limited time thread pertaining to the yatra wherin we can post our views and ground realities of certain places (similar to my constituency, my candidate) about the proposed yatra and maybe it helps and adds to the info collected from a particular place.

I have a few suggestions to make about yatra.

Sir, please start it from Somnath, because, the BJP journey to glory also started from there, the somnath yatra was defining. We came to power from there. We will again do the same. Also, geographically, it is at the western border, so it is like we are starting from a place (or one end of the country).

Somnath and its significance with relation to the 50s and sardar patel is well known, it happens to be in the native state of advaniji, so it will figuratively be like setting out from home.

Also, when it comes to the chinthan, even Gujrat didnot give the expected results to us and we need to look seriously into that and analyze.

"Charity begins at home. So, we must set our house in order first".

Sir, instead of meeting a few workers at a place or two, I suggest the interaction is broken down to constituency level.
May be we arrange a meeting of a block of 5-7 LS constituencies on average in large states and 2-4 in small states. The party workers from that area shall meet Advaniji in their place and apprise him of what went wrong. Also this gives a first hand info tomake necessary changes in the party infrastructure. Attention and emphasis should be given to smaller states with 1-2 MPs too and he should make it a point to visit each and every state and UT.

I suggest that after this yatra, we should follow up with a mass contact program to reach out to the people.

This again demonstrates that Shri Advaniji is giving time for this nation.

My only suggestion is to not let the MEDIA paint this yatra on religious lines.....BJP has to carefully tread the path now. We all want BJP to struggle for HINDUS but not by targetting other communities. BJP should work for all in this NATION, so please plan this properly taking care of the anti-BJP media elements. I also feel that using the word 'YATRA' may prove to be a problem as Media may link it to earlier 'Rath Yatra' and also start debating on Ayodhya issue only.

As the intention is to meet grassroot party workers and supporters, It can be called something different, very catchy.....BJP should also start projecting that Shri Advaniji wants to retire from active politics soon so he wants to travel across all over India, meet all the grassroot workers in all parts of India and interact with them. This will also give media something to increase their TRP ratings. In between there can be visit to campuses, meet the BJP supporters group etc.

Why is SomnathTemple is important.

Advaniji has started his yatra from Somnath Temple and there are many good reasons for him to start the yatra there.

For me Somnath signifies a whole history


* History of loot and plunder on wealth, knowledge and psychology,

* It also signifies unrelenting dogmatic resilient culture which survived after in numerous wounds.

* It signifies the power of creativity is always greater than power of destruction.

* It signifies what we lost and have got back and can lose again if we become careless.

* It servers warning to us and all future generations that, invader can come again may be north west, or may be form north east and may be from south we have to be careful, strong and united. Strive tirelessly and selflessly to improve our country and countrymen.

I feel ideally media should be kept entirely out of this strictly intra party exercise. They have no business to know the happenings.

The purpose of yatra is to go to the workers, sit with them, analyze the results and find ways to improve and motivate them to fight for future. Where is the role of media in this? And that too when it is widely proved beyond doubt that the media is also one of the opponent whom we have to counter. You wont discuss war room strategies in front of your enemy, do You? Media is one of our opponent , in fact far bigger than the congress. (at least in some states we dont have to face congess!).

So Keep media absolutely away from this exercise. The term yatra is my own coinage, i think advaniji will come up with a better terminology----

good posts.... the leaders in the yatra (LKA+other elders) should definitely avoid media, mingle and talk to as many party workers as possible, identify issues affecting the party and the states and above all break down the groups/cliques within the party and send a message that discipline is important for all. Initiate and set democratic procedures at all levels as well.

This is more like the biggest, and if I'm not early, greatest leader. This is required from the 'LAUH PURUSH'. I say this - 'satypath yatra' = ekta yatra= bharat janyatra= akhand bharat janyatra= ............. will be the historical landmark in history of Bharat just as the first 'rath yatra' was. We might not know the impact of first rath yatra of hon. LK Advaniji. The Indians in many parts of India could identify themselves and relate to each other with BJP as means. After that time we might not have observed a substantial change but indeed India and thus the HINDU has evolved in outlook and look. Just like the first dusting of a deserted ruin clogs the eyes but the ruin has assumed a new look just the second moment. The measurable impact will be observed in immediate time to come.

Somnath temple was (one of) the biggest center of Hindu faith at some time in history, it was purposely devastated to crush the racial pride. Somnath temple must be again the starting stream of racial pride= dharm abhiman which should be conveyed to every part of country. It must reach every part of country, every important Hindu place and every dense Muslim locale, a hardcore communist hold, even naxal or a congress domain.

What I feel is -- reach the end of this yatra at Kashmir, may be the northern most part of country at Siachin or Leh. The very same route that had brought a blaze line to the very epicenter of Hindu faith- "Somnath". This seat of faith must now be converted to seat of honor and national pride.

The yatra must indeed be like taking self to the hearts of Indians. Every worker, every citizen, every villager must be touched.

caution: LKA ji already has a biig impact and bit somewhat incisive *(not meant to be scratching by any means) though so this yatra should be the milan of Bhartiya Janta Party with the "Jan" of "Bharat". It shouldn't remain a mere meeting of party with party workers. every party worker must work with local segment, converse with people and bring the shared anguish or comments to party leaders led by LKA ji. BJP must not shy from sharing all its agony and compassion with janta just like a child goes to grand pa. [No point to grimace, BJP must learn doing this*]. and at all time! That is desirable. A profile is always helpful. Let the work and its impacts come to the fore and not merely the face.
So it should not be necessarily the rath yatra of Advaniji rather it should be a moving congregation of BJP and the moral backup in RSS etc with the Indian janta having every one, every leader on board.

It might not be style of and may be Advaniji of a "simha lagn" and "vrischika surya rashi" didn't quite like it but it will be THE right approach presently, though it MUST NOT BE drastic or dramatic.And if possible mend all measures to include hon. Atalji at least in initial part of this yatra, if not whole part of it.

Also very importantly, few of top RSS preachers like Sudarshan ji should be invited to be part of this yatra.

Hon Advaniji must not be in any doubts. He has to assume the position of official leader of this country and there is no rethinks even for a microsecond in this regard. This country must be rewarded with him and this must be the personal challenge of every party leader. Some how, this has to be realized atleast once.Not being scantly sentimental I have this dream of seeing LKA ji and BJP 'up there' and I know there are many like me.

There should be concurrent camps of VHP, Bajrang dal and other organisations to bring people in course of yatra to get assimilated in yatra and enrich. May be, may be its time to include the gone out leaders who could be walking parallel if not along with the BJP ranks. This should be chalked out (with no political reflections what so ever). May be, if remotely possible match it and yoke it with other Hindu nationalistic movement currently running in country like Baba Ramdev ji and some other spiritual leaders like Shri Ravishankar ji who match up in modern and refined cultural ideology as of BJP.

It might even contain some measure to connect with muslim brothers. It should be checked depending upon feasibility and unanimity.

Media. Let media see it. Yes, let it watch and keep it at distance. No formal direct connection. Connect to public with written, graphical, digital messages of everything they need to know. The congress, the media, BJP's views for Muslims and Hindus, the vision and the "aahvahan". Off course Bharat, vartman and bhavishya.

Every message, every thought, every complaint(with public or opposition parties), every concern must be very thoroughly and very firmly taken across the public psyche. And, it should not be in a teaching tone though should not be in a tone any lesser than proud one. and there must not be hurry to achieve this. Must be played cool, safe and sound.

Security. Must be multi tired. with special arrangements. workers. personnels.

We have big expectations and we extend best wishes. .... cntd
