While sharing the anguish of my fellow members over the issue, I would like to remind one and all the fragile nature of the bjp govt in karnataka numerically, and also factor in the unpredictability of influential reddy brothers.
It would be worthwhile if the govt concentrates on the welfare of the people, on development and become more popular and powerful. If BSY becomes as strong as narendra modi, then things will be different.
I understand that the bill has been defered. We can have it at right time.
One more important thing i would like to bring. this is with regards to a word called HINDUTVA. this is like a "gaali" for the pseudosecular media and according to it, it is manifested in issues like ram mandir, art 370, UCC, cowslaughter, opposition to valentine day, vandalising pubs, moral policing etc etc.
But, the concerns of the hindu and hindutva are far more than these and the hindutva which the bjp represents is far different. The BJP should focus and bring out more serious concerns of the hindus and hindutva, especially in the light of patronised evangelism, minority appeasement, vote bank politics, etc etc.
Our opponents are trivialising hindutva on to non -serious looking issues and diverting our attention from real issues.
While the sex tapes of a swami is publicised, do you think, if a similar act was done by a mulla or a father, it will get publicity.(i strongly condemn the acts of the said swami too. I am not supporting his alleged wrongdoings). When it comes to hindutva, it is projected as something which is not concerned to a common man-- e.g, opposition to pub going, valentine, etc.--- they ask whats wrong? Most neutral persons will say we are wrong. In the guise of this support and sympathy gained over the real issue, they trivialise our concerns of real issues and unpopularise us, and carry out their hidden agenda. WE should be careful about this and counter this.
