Ten reasons why the BJP lost

            Re: Youth not with BJP

Postby amitsml on Sat May 23, 2009 3:53 pm

Most of the youth today is not with BJP, Because of the hardliner associates like Bajrang Dal, Ram Sena etc. Todays youth wants freedom. If someone wants to stop then they would revolt and would go against.

Beating couples in Pubs and resturants on Valentines day. Threatning happening fashion shows etc. makes the youth have a feeling of hatred towards the party, hence they stay away . This is also a main reason why youth is not with BJP.

Very few young people are seen going to temples daily, they like to visit temples occasionally. but one can see a lot of them visiting pubs and disco's regularly. Why did Movies like Fashion, Corporate got Hit because that reflects the lifestyle of young India.

Party should take hard steps to curb the hardliners and start noticing and raising voice which is in favour of the youth so that they may feel secure and associate themselves with the party.

Where did they lose? In kerala, TN, AP, Orissa and W B they did not get a single seat. Who are the leaders in these states, what is their organisational structure in these states, why people would vote them in these state etc ? Most of the leaders are by default and have no idea of their own !What is the biggest problem of the country today. It is population. What is the action plan of BJP for controlling/reducing population?

Look at Congress, Rahul Gandhi made his first speech in the Parliament about the sugar cane farmers of UP, yet I am sure he cannot write down the procedure of its cultivation, yet the media aired it with top priority. Who is their in BJP to get such media attention?

Why all of you are forgetting, the Congress Governments are buying votes with the state's money from the SCs,STs, OBCs, Minorities etc by providing the scolarships, quota in jobs, ration and maoney through some schemes. These people stand solidly behind Congress and vote enthusiastically. BJP is to create its fresh vote bank from the indifferent voters and never try to enter Congress Vote Bank.

It is to spell out its action plan to solve the problems economically. Today, for every ruppee spent on devolpment, only 10 paisa is utilised and rest goes as bribe. BJP is to provide the alternative for efficient spending of the nation's money.
BJP leaders are to cultivate a strong moral character to serve as ideals for the masses, then only they will get the seats to rule.

The country is in the hands of the foreign forces, its prime minister is a handicap, its policies are centered towards their vote bank, a sad situation indeed.

Like Sushma Swaraj took a vow in 2004 in case Sonia becomes PM, many of the BJP leaders should take such vows secretly to plan and strategise how to save the nation from the Congress policies like Chanakya did.

The first thing its not that the BJP lost but its loss of third front and vote for fair face.

I dont agree to your point on Varun Gandhi and Nucelear Deal.

            Varun Gandhi

Pls dont compare Mr. Varun Gandhi with JAgdish tytler and Sajjan Kumar. those people were involved in the crime , while there is conspiracy to finish the career of Varun before it starts. During the Varun episode there was enough evidence of biased media, govt. and election commission. of course there was mistake on the part of BJP. It must have stood behind varun Gandhi boldly and you could have found different result in UP. But BJP made the mistake and tried to become the same pseudo secular party. The party need to beleive its supporter, if it find he is innocent.

The party must stick to its fundamentals strongly, of course it should oppose strongly the act of some anti social elements like Sri ram sene of karnatka.

            The nuclear Deal

The nuclear deal signed by Mr. Manmohan singh is not in the interest of nation and BJP did right thing in opposing it.
This election is not the defeat of BJP but its defeat of third front and to some extent people have voted the fair cream. They voted to the face of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi not to there policies and intellects.

Indian people have given this type of verdict in past e.g vote for RAjiv Gandhi.Instead of going on blame game we should focus on future course of action. If people have not voted, dont think your policies and ideals are wrong , But try to convince people about your ideals in more impressive way. This is the single party in the country which thinks for the nation, and its ideals could not be weak.So Be bold , trust your worker and policies and increase your support base. We will get freedom.

There was one more guy like you and some body gave him good doze. You are foolish if you don't understand that Ram Sene is a Congress Stooge. They are fighting elections against BJP. Today's Youth should have at least some political sense otherwise they will be in deep trouble by the time they reach 40s and if they ditch BJP now, nobody will be there to save them then as BJP wll be finished by then.

All the small kids are spoiled by TV news Channel, where they show BJP as some old mindset Evil Fascist group which is against Youth. BJP has to attak Media in a hard and ugly way and even if it means hitting below the belt or appearing cheap. They have spoiled one whole generation against BJP. This new generation which thinks Congress as the only party will be easily disillusioned when theirs dream are not met when they grow up,resulting in terrorism, separatism etc, the same issues we faced in 1980.

For the sake of Hindu civilization and India BJP has to strike TV Channels Media hard and they can even take help of Amar Singh in it.

Hello Santima, you are so right...you have touched my heart. While many of the commentators (and surprisingly some BJP leaders too) are basically convinced/influenced by the anti-BJP (or anti-nationalist) mainstream media, they either got it wrong or indulging in blame game. This is not at all good for a party, you must stick to your basic policies, ideologies. Even if you have to wait for a long time to win the election, so be it, do not give up the long term goal, do not loose the base support. If you have a strong base, one day you can win back the floating/independent voters, not the other way around. Do not always compare with US, they are so different than India, they (US) are mostly of the same religion and culture. While talking about the young voters, they are not just fall from heaven, they are influenced by their parents/teachers the most. So you see a young BJP leader/worker/supporter mostly comes from a family of BJP leader/worker/supporter.
About Varun Gandhi, it is very wrong to say that he is the main reason of BJP's failure in other parts of UP. Just think about it...if Varun can win from his constituency, then why not put 50 Varuns in 50 UP constituencies, and become winner of all 50 seats. It's all about a person, his leadership quality, influence of his speech on people and his strong character...no matter how great a person is, if he lacks leadership quality, he will never win. So try to find out the jewel leaders and give them a chance. Majority hindus are somewhat indefferent about the politics (polls 30-40%), so to mobilise them you need many Modis & Varuns. Otherwise, united minority will always choose the Indian Govt (by polling 80-90%) and many more political parties will appease/beg them to win the election. Shame on hindus, more than 5000 innocent people killed brutally mostly by Islamic terrorists in Cong's 5 year rule, that does not concern them. We do not learn from the History. We just need some money to live and live in peace, but you see bread is not the only thing what matters...where is economy without security? Look around for the proof. Anyway, WE SHALL OVERCOME, ... (3) SOMEDAY ... OH DEEP IN MY HEART, I DO BELIEVE ... WE SHALL OVERCOME SOMEDAY.

There is overwhelming pressure on the defeated Bharatiya Janata Party to go for paradigm shift - from core Hindu issues to complete 'secular' facelift.

All must remember that the party has its genesis in nationalistic Hindu issues, its struggle was for all these issues all along, its leaders sacrificed their lives and limbs for these issues, its growth trajectory was vigorously propelled by these very issues, its numbers in parliament and assemblies went skyrocketing till it genuinely and hotly pursued these very issues. The downslide began with the dilution, and lately abhorrence for these issues.

Is it desired that the party do not speak against Bangaladeshi infiltrators? Against Islamic terrorism? Against lax and lethargic response to terrorism? Against economic slavery?

The more the dilemma, the more the perils.

Do not cast even shadows of doubts for all those leaders who took up such issues genuinely. Do not discourage them if you do not have the courage to raise such issues. Not all the feelings, beliefs, aspirations of the people of the nation get reflected in political structure, least in an election!

Thousands still love their leaders like L K Advani to Narendra Modi to Varun Gandhi - whatever their pros and cons - ins and outs. The logic and facts put forth by Arun Shourie are irrefutable, the maturity of Arun Jaitley is lauable.

Gurumurthy is an icon for many. Ashokjee Singhal is like a Rishi for us.These and all such people have been fighting for a cause dear to all of us.In the hours of defeat, shrills on self would not help, neither raising doubts on our core issues would help.Pledge to work again and work hard. Know the traitors, know the errors in strategy - be better informed and better planned and keep up the fight like Krishna, Chanakya, Shivajee and Sardar.

Have full faith in our Ishwara, in our Dharma, in our people and in our genuine workers and leaders. Bharat Mata ki Jai.

Pseudo Secualrism is nothing but "Glorified Cowardice". Real seculars do not shout from rooftops. look at U.K and USA.India,Israel and China became Independent at the same time. Look where have Israel and China reached and where are we. Our only competitor is Pakistan, All this is is result of too much Cowardice which is inherent in us,which we hide behind pseudo secularism. By God's grace somehow our Army has remained only secular and not pseudo secular and we are able to exist as a nation. May be in long run even that institution is destroyed.

BJP has to factor all these constraints before deciding its strategies.

Many guys who would have been carried away by the Media created image of Rahul Gandhi and the global loyality towards Gandhi family are now advising BJP to become like Congress and start following all its traits. Guys its fine you voted for congress but don’t advise BJP to become like Congress. Jansangh and BJP have lost almost all elections since 1952 and have not swayed away from their principles. When Public has to select us they will select for what we are. We messed up handling Media, one mistake which we did and we need to correct that.Rest we do not have to get carried away so much by this loss. BJP has to be prepared to loose many elections in future but stick to its principles otherwise Congress is always there and anyhow Indian public seems to be addicted to it.

Till Hindus are there in india, BJP is there and BJP is the only party for all Hindus including Dalits. It doesn’t do only lip service or give bread crumbs. It makes Mayawatis as Chief Minister. BJP believes that Dalits are the purest Hindus and they need to be given extra respect.

BJP is the best friend of minorities and hope they will realize some day.

This post is a true analysys of the state of matters. There is a section, who want to believe that nothing was wrong in the election campaign. That will not work.BJP remained where it was 10 years ago, while others moved on.There is a whole lot of new voters who are not interested in the old style electioneering, negetive campaigning, mud slinging and scoring brownie points when the nation was attacked by terrorists. If the party continues in the old format,it will gradually disappear from the political scene as will happen to many caste based single leader parties mushroomed to cash in the vacuum created by the eclipse of Congress era.Now that the Congress is back with their dynastic next generation leaders and in India, dynasty is an accepted form of governence,BJP should focus on to counter this development.Futuristic issues and matters dearer to the majority of voters should be the prime concern.By projecting as a party of only one section of society,BJP will never be in a position to attract large number of voters and form a Government.Time to look forward and formulate new policies and identity to fight the resurgent Congress.

What sapanishot says is perfectly correct.

I would like to add one more thing to the list. I think we should influence some News Channel, which can insinuate Indian electorate in a way NDTV and CNN do it for Congress. No matter they get kickbacks or Padmashris, these channels are with Congress and make a lot of difference in the way people interpret BJP.
And yes, we need to leave this Hindutwa Tag (so that we can win the next elections) and that is the only way we can get Ram Rajya in this country.
