After 5 months. Now it is 1 CAN $ = IND Rs 50

Our Economy is in u'r hands


INDIAN economy is in a crisis. Our country like many other ASIAN countries is undergoing a severe economic crunch. Many INDIAN industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical situation.


More than 30000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages... etc which are grown, produced and consumed here.


A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paisa to produce is sold for NINE rupees, and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy.


We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products only for next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this, the rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future.


What you can do about it?

1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.
2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.


Each individual should become a leader for this awareness.

This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.

well said!! But the only drawback is the quality of the Indian products are far below those of the foreign ones. I would like to suggest another way to stop the direct open outflow of Indian money. lets put some extra tax on the produts of the foreign companies so in a way people will limit using it. on the other hand government can allow some concession on taxes for Indian goods. In that way people will be inclined more towards these products.
I guess china goods have overtaken our Indian market so easily, just because it's cheap.

It is only in our thinking that the quality of Indian products are bad. Cotton shirts produced in Salem/ Coimbatore ( of course with the brand tags of big names) cost only around 200 to 250 Rs per shirt; But the same shirt is sold at a big departmental store in Europe or USA for Rs 2000, because there are people like you and me who think that everything produced by the white skin is superior. Kindly change this mind set. The achievements of the Indian Soft ware guys in the International arena and India becoming a Nuclear Power during the BJP reign under Sri Vajpayee changed this mind set to a very large extent. With the Foreign leaning Electronic and Print Media( English) going all out in demeaning anything Indian , there are still some who think that India is not 'capable' enough.

What the message quoted says is " buy Indian products , especially the consumables like soaps, shaving creams, tooth pastes, washing powders etc etc, wherever you find good products produced by reliable Indian companies like Godrej or Dabur or Tata" ( I am just mentioning a few names, and there are many more) so that the huge profits of over 100-800 % on such products manufactured by Foreing companies donot go away from this country. "If you can buy a Maruti car , do it , instead of buying a Honda or a Hyundai "; " If you can buy a Godrej or Onida , buy it instead of a Samsung or Hitachi" , who have invested in this country , not out of love for the country, but because they have received a lot of concessions from the State and Central Govts by way of tax holidays ( sometimes 10 years), land at subsidised rates, utilites like power and water etc at low rates etc.etc.( sometimes with big cuts to the local politicians for giving the concessions) . Have you ever heard of an Indian company being given such concessions in Europe or USA? There is never a level playing field in International business; and if we get one our Indian companies have proved their mettle. Note: the reasons given , ie., the ones outside the inverted commas are mine.

If we can do some small bit towards this end , it will surely be a service to our country.

We will be able to popularise products made in India if the Indian companies agree to work for the benefit of the end-consumer by maintaining standards, holding the priceline and distributing the products through network channel. Network channel helps share the profits with end-consumer instead of middle men pocketing the profits.
